Candidates associated with the private placement industry need to have at least three years of experience. They will also need to pass the PMP exam, which is administered during march of every year. These candidates will need to prove that they have specific experience in a variety of investments and financial markets and have passed the IFA and CMA exams. Once these requirements have been passed, individuals associated with investment advisers, self-regulatory organizations, and CMBS will be able to become self-employed.
